CRN's articles against the new NDI's guidelines

CRN: FDA's NDI Guidance Seeks Premarket Approval (Council for Responsible Nutrition) published their article in the April 2012, Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology --

"...The article also points out that FDA’s effort to impose pre-market approval on dietary supplements is not a new occurrence. In the 1970s and 1990s, before the passage of DSHEA, FDA made two attempts, both of which were rejected by Congress and the courts.

"Hear more about NDIs and probiotics—anther big issue many in the industry have with the Draft Guidance—in the SupplySide MarketPlace education session, "Probiotics, NDIs and Species Identification," on Thursday, May 10, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.., Javits Center, New York."
