FDA's NDI - Got Stopped (temporarily)

Looks like there were enough of us pushing back the FDA's attack on DSHEA to get some action.  This article says that an organization by the name of Alliance for Natural Health accomplished the following>>> "...ANH-USA, together with a number of supplement trade organizations, went to Capitol Hill to plead our case about the FDA’s profoundly flawed NDI (new supplement) draft guidance in the offices of two powerful senators and longtime friends of natural health, Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) and Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT). Our visit was preceded by all the letters you have been sending to Congress, which have immeasurably increased the visibility of this issue..."

The January 3, 2012 article states that the two senators contacted FDA and made them stop what they were doing, and then proposed that they work with the FDA to write a new draft that clarifies the new ingredient guidelines to be more "consistent with DSHEA."

Hummmmmmmmm.... just ran across this article about the FDA going through all the emails and comments made to them in regards to the NDI's, but it doesn't say anything about the two senators visiting them and making a proposal....read it here, and then let us know what you've found regarding this topic>>>
